All Event Terms & Conditions
Applicable to all events hosted by Actors in Industry, whether delivered online or in person
1. Registration and Attendance
All participants must register in advance via the designated booking platform.
Registration is non-transferable unless agreed in writing by Actors in Industry.
Attendance links (for online events) and venue details (for in-person events) will be provided upon confirmation.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technology and internet access for online events.
2. Payment and Refunds
Payment must be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 14 calendar days before the event (full refund).
Cancellations made 7–13 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event or for non-attendance.
Attendees may nominate a substitute from their organisation at no additional cost, provided notice is given at least 48 hours before the event.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 working days of approval.
3. Event Changes and Cancellation
Actors in Industry reserves the right to amend event details (including speakers, format, venue, or schedule) with reasonable notice.
If an event is cancelled or rescheduled by Actors in Industry, attendees will be offered:
A full refund, or
A transfer to the rescheduled date, or
A credit towards a future event.
4. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to behave professionally and respectfully throughout the event.
Disruptive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event without refund.
Recording, sharing, or distributing event content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
5. Technical Access and Support (Online Events)
Participants are responsible for testing their access prior to the event start time.
Actors in Industry will provide basic joining instructions but cannot guarantee compatibility with all devices or browsers.
No refunds will be issued for failure to join due to technical issues outside our control.
6. Liability
Actors in Industry accepts no liability for personal injury, loss, or damage to property during in-person events.
For online events, Actors in Industry is not liable for any technical failures, data loss, or interruptions caused by third-party platforms.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to force majeure circumstances (e.g. natural disasters, government restrictions), though reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule or offer alternatives.
7. Data Protection and GDPR Compliance
Actors in Industry is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
Personal data collected during registration is used solely for event administration, communications, and service delivery.
Attendees will be offered a clear opt-in for receiving future marketing communications. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Data will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, unless required by law.
Attendees have the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of their personal data at any time.

8. Photography, Recording and Marketing Use
Events may be recorded or photographed for promotional purposes, including use on websites, social media, and marketing materials.
If you’d prefer not to be included in any recordings or photos, simply speak to a member of the Actors in Industry team on the day (or during the session for online events), and we’ll make sure your preference is respected.
We’ll always aim to be considerate and inclusive in how we use event media.
